September's Bliss

These some of the last illustrations with my new bamboo tablet,It's so fun to use It ! At the moment, my biggest influence is japan, and especially Hokusai paintings.

This is a glimpse of the wonderful decoration Séverine made at her wedding's reception. The main thema was the fairy tales and each table was decorated according a fairy tale. Ours was the Cinderella one.

These are some pictures I took during the wonderful wedding of my chidhood's friend, Séverine. We had a great day full of emotions.

Saturday evening, I celebrate one of my childhood's friend's bachelor party. Severine and Sebastien are getting married on july 4th and I can't wait this great event ! We had so much fun during that party, everybody put 80's costumes, we sang in the streets and finished the night singing old songs in a chinese karaoke.

Yesterday afternoon, we had a long and so nice walk with my lover in a wood near my town. There you can find weird trees with strange shapes (middle picture), they look a bit like tall bonsai, they are quite famous here, we call them 'les faux de Verzy". There's no clear explanation about the reason of their uncommon shape and that's also that mystery that makes me love them. I will return there to take more pictures of these beautiful trees.

I have just learned that Bat of Lashes launched a new album these days. It was a wonderful discovery when I listened to their first album a few years ago. I love their universe and the singer's voice makes me think of Bjork's one, my favorite singer. That's the kind of music that inspires me.

Some pics of the last time I went to Paris, these were mostly taken in Montmartre. I love this vintage board, "Au lapin Agile", this cabaret doesn't exist anymore unfortunately but It gives a nice idea of the atmosphere that might has been in there.

Each time I go to Paris, this is the place I love to wander around. I took Montmartre hundreds of times in picture but each time I find a new way to capture Its streets with the feeling of the moment.

Last saturday, I discovered one of the most famous place of Paris, "les jardins du Luxembourg", a lovely place. I realized that I had not seen all the beauty of this town yet. I was especially amazed by the "fontaine Medicis".

My boyfriend offered me this beautiful tea box. It's one of the most famous french tea and It's so delicious, this one has a taste of flowers.

I have made this illustration today, I'm still inspired by spring and nature at the moment...

Today I had one hour of spare time and a rest of peanut butter, so I decided to make some cookies, they are delicious ! Let me know if you want the recipe...

I had a fantastic day last saturday with my mom. We couldn't help to go once again in Montmartre, taking some pics and bying linen for mom's dress for my wedding. The only thing I missed that day is a good restaurant in Montmartre...

For a few days I try to find ideas of floral compositions that I could do myself for my wedding. For the moment, I'm only decided on the main flower, It's will be the without any doubt the orchid, I'm mad of this flower.

I go in Paris this saturday, I can't wait to go back there, It's been only 3 weeks I went there for the last time but with the spring coming, that will be even more interesting. I'm never tired of taking this town in picture, there's always different ways to create great images with suh a place, I especially want to go to Montmartre this time and maybe around the Trocadero.

Me, my boyfriend and his parents had a nice afternoon yesterday, just a walk in the native village of my boyfriend's mother but I really appreciated It. I took a toy to make bubbles with me, we had a lot of fun with It. A simple afternoon like I love...

I like the retro style of this illustration, I think It fits well with the frenchy style of macaroons. I dicovered a new bakery in Reims that makes yummy macaroons, among other delicious flavours, the "Fraise Tagada" ( a french sweet) flavour is my fave one.

Just a few weeks to wait and I will be able to capture all the beauty of the spring again...

I made this illustration today. I first wanted to do a test for my wedding invitation but It turned completely different from my initial idea. I'm satisfied with It though and that gives me an idea of how my invtitations will look like. I would like to put me and my boyfriend instead of the girl and keep some orchids and butterflies...
