September's Bliss

Yesterday, It was so cold and snowy in Paris that I stopped for a nice relaxing time at the Cafe de Flore. I love the atmosphere of this place, I can fancy all the famous writers from Sartre to Camus who came here since It opened in 1885. And the cafe Liègeois is delicious !

Authentic. Lovely. Groovy Cakes. Gorgeous. Fanciful. Memorable. Splendiferous. Nostalgic. Meaningful. Funky. Classic. Enduring. Reminiscent. Marvelous. Fantabulous. Fresh. Haunting, these are the words used to describe themselves ans their work, Joel and Mary are simply amazing photographers. More photographs on their website.

I found out a lovely french blog this morning, "Sur un fil", full of beautiful home decorations.

Miss Clara is one of my favourite illustrators, she's a magician, she creates girls with paper who seems to come from a fairy tale. You can see her work in her blog.

I'm a big fan of her work as a stylist, but Alix is also a great photographer. In her blog, The Cherry Blossom Girl (inspired by the song by Air she loves), she takes herself in pictures with a nice taste for composition and decoration.

I discovered these absolutely beautiful pics of Paris on The Cherry Blossom Girl's blog. It's very rare to see Paris like that, I wish I could have been there too with my camera at this moment !

I had the nice surprise today to find my illustration called "Kyoto" on greeting cards at Santoro London's website. They have beautiful things in their shop and I'm flattered to be a part of them. They sent me a sample a few weeks ago, It looks great !

Behind One Love Photo are Heather Gilson and her husband, Jon Almeda. They are from Seattle and together they capture weddings using a combination of cameras and techniques (digital, medium format film, through the viewfinder, homemade lenses and even a couple toy plastic cameras. The result is wonderful with a unique vintage style.

Her blog is one of my regular readings, Bonnie Tsang is a photographer from Los Angeles, she specializes in weddings but I also love her NYC photographs. Like me, she was a graphic designer, her first job was as a website designer for Safesearching, founded by Alyssa Milano and her mom. She is now a full time wedding photographer.

Her surname is "Cookies", she's a french student in photography and her blog, "cuillère à absinthe" features beautiful self-portraits of fashion. She makes me think of Jane Birkin when she was 20.
